Terms
Event terms
These terms are a draft and are not yet in force. They will be finalised, with the platform insurance, before the first event takes bookings. Last updated 2 October 2026.

What Mirth is
Mirth is a platform run by Specvista Technology. It provides matching, booking, payments, safety tools and crews. Mirth does not organise or lead events. Contact: hello@specvista.com.
Who organises an event
Every event is organised by its host, a member who has been verified and has accepted the host terms, or by a partner group named on the event. The host or partner group is responsible for running the event, for the plan, and for any cover they need. Mirth carries platform liability only, not event cover.
Age
You must be 18 or over to join, host or attend an event.
Booking and price
Events are free while we launch. When paid events start, the price is set by the host and shown on the event. Mirthcollects the payment on the host's behalf, keeps a platform fee and pays the host after the event. Your place is confirmed when any payment is received and you have accepted these terms and the code of conduct. Activities also need a trusted contact. Travel, food and drink are not included.
Cancellations
- Cancel more than 72 hours before the start: full refund.
- Cancel between 72 and 24 hours before the start: credit for another event.
- Cancel under 24 hours before the start, or do not turn up: no refund, and it counts against your reliability score.
- If the host or Mirth cancels, for example for weather, you always get a full refund.
Events are leisure services for a specific date, so the statutory 14-day cancellation right does not apply; the rules above apply instead.
Assumption of risk
Outdoor activities carry risks that cannot be removed, including uneven, wet or icy ground, changeable weather, short daylight, livestock, roads and being some distance from help. By joining an event you accept that these risks exist and that you take part at your own risk.
You are responsible for judging whether an event suits your fitness, health and experience, for telling the host about anything that may affect you on the day, and for bringing the kit on the kit list. The host may refuse to take you if you are not suitably equipped or fit to complete it safely.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
Host terms
The full host terms apply to hosts. In short:
- Hosts pass ID and phone checks and accept these host terms before their first event goes live.
- Hosts declare their qualifications honestly. Harder activities need a matching qualification, and the group size must stay within the cap.
- Hosts are responsible for their events, including any insurance they need, and must follow the code of conduct.
- Hosts see only the members of their own events, and use their details only for that event.
- Hosts are rated on reliability and on whether people would go again with them. Poor ratings or upheld reports lead to review and removal.
Reports, complaints and moderation
Anyone can report a member, a host, an event or content from any event page or the report page. Every report is read by a person. We may warn, suspend or remove members and hosts, take events down or remove content that breaks these terms or the law. Any removal is reviewed within 24 hours. You can complain about a decision by replying to our email or writing to hello@specvista.com.
On the day
Follow the host's instructions, stay with the group and complete the start and end check-ins.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without removing any rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
